The bride and groom, Manuela and Marcello, she wearing the custom-made 1950s-style pink wedding dress.

Manuela and Marcello on their day.

Manuela came to me with a special request: a unique and special dress that would fully represent her.

We then met and talked, trying to create a dress together that encompassed everything she imagined and dreamed of.

We created a sketch that could incorporate all the elements she wanted: a wide tulle skirt, semi-sheer, voluminous sleeves, and embroidery that spoke of their love.

We chose fabrics together to make the sketch a reality, creating a play of transparencies that would give her an ethereal image but at the same time make her feel comfortable.

The embroidery you can see on the sleeve is the result of research following the initial talk.

In fact, from the very beginning, I wondered how to manage to incorporate into the dress the love that would be celebrated that day, a strong and carefree love! So we opted to create a fine, tone-on-tone design on the right sleeve representing a climbing ivy. We chose this plant because of the symbolism historically given to it, making it a symbol of fidelity, continuity and union. But also of eternity, passion and good fortune. For this reason, we felt it was the perfect symbol to discreetly add to the garment.

One last detail was inserted inside the embroidered sleeve by adding inside one of the leaves their interwoven initials, this became a small detail to be discovered in the dress.
