Accessories for an alternative bridal look!

For the past few years in the wedding world, people have been constantly looking for something original and unique to make their day bold and glamorous. If you are dreaming of a wedding that expresses your identity, accessories can help you stand out from all the other brides and grooms. As I have said before (and as I will never tire of saying) accessories can truly transform your bridal look. In this article, I want to explore six creative ideas for accessories that will help you add a unique touch to your wedding day.

1. Unusual colors:

I will never get tired of saying it at the risk of sounding repetitive but traditionally we associate white with marriage, however, who said you have to follow the rules? Breaking the mold with a colorful dress or adding touches of color on the gown or through accessories (such as shoes, belts or jewelry) could be a great way to be an out-of-the-box bride. You can help yourself by choosing colors in soft shades such as antique pink, pastel blue or even sage green. Do you feel like you want to be even more daring? Then don't hesitate to choose a dress in more flamboyant colors. Thinking outside the box can transform your look from traditional to extraordinary.

2. Unusual materials:

Through fabric and materials you can really create something unique and unexpected. If you want to stay on the white dress choice, you can always play on the different textures given by fabrics. By using unconventional materials, I'm sure you can surprise your guests by giving your look an innovative touch without upsetting the idea of the classic white dress too much. You could consider fabrics such as velvet (if you are getting married in winter), beautiful wild silk (which creates a wonderful slub effect that makes it even more unique), denim (if possible in white) for a '90's effect or create leather inserts for a sexy and unusual touch. You can include -among the fabrics or among the materials used for embroidery- metallic elements such as fabrics with metallic thread weave, gold embroidery with canoes and foils that can add a vintage and sophisticated charm to your wedding outfit.

3. Hats instead of veils:

For brides who want an alternative to the classic veil (because they are tired of the accessory or because they are not getting married in a church), hats are a good alternative that will make your look bold and chic. Opt for a hat that suits your face shape and dress. On my site you can find different ones all customizable (you can choose colors, materials and embroidery) or we can create a custom hat designed just for you. Hats definitely offer a great opportunity to express your personal style and wedding style, adding a dramatic and vintage touch to your outfit.

4. Maxi bows:

If your goal is not to wear a veil but you don't like the idea of a hat, maxi bows could be a charming and unusual choice for your bridal look. These accessories add a touch of romance and femininity to your look, and you can choose shorter ones or ones with longer flaps to create a bridal veil-like effect. You can also choose a tulle, organza or satin bow (always matching it with the fabric that suits your dress best) and you can add unique embroidery for a touch of timeless elegance. To best incorporate this accessory, I recommend choosing a semi-collected hairstyle in which it will be easy to insert it to create a unique and romantic look.

5. Statement gloves:

I know, I know... gloves are a "classic" accessory that can take your mind straight back to the 80s... But I really created it is possible to reinvent it to create an alternative and unique bridal style. In my collection I tried to create something fresh and young by creating a collection of half-gloves suitable for a modern bride. You can opt for elbow-length or even shoulder-length gloves for a real Hollywood star touch, or you can choose a short, sophisticated glove for a look more suitable for an everyday wedding. You can choose more "classic" materials such as tulle, lace or silk or go for more unusual materials such as leather, in this way you will create a refined and distinctive look.

6. Extravagant shoes:

The wedding, normally, is one of those times when you have a bit more budget to spend and why not treat yourself to beautiful shoes? Whether they are custom made, bought from a big brand or in a store, you can really indulge yourself with this accessory. Shoes are a perfect opportunity to add a touch of color and originality to your wedding outfit. Whether they are colorful or possess unique decorations tailored to you and your look, you can really personalize them to the max. Opt for shoes with a comfortable shape and (if you're not used to them) a wide heel and not too high (you don't want to have to take them off shortly after the ceremony). You can choose them with bold details such as sequins, crystals, feathers or jewel details. If you want a really alternative look, also consider the option of boots (like Dr.Martens) or custom sneakers for a modern and comfortable touch.

Accessories for an alternative bridal look are so many, you just need to have the courage to think of them and wear them. These offer endless possibilities to express your personality and create a wedding that is truly unique and unforgettable. If it's something that suits your personality and you have courage, silence all the people who would prefer a more classic look for you and experiment with colors, materials and styles to find the perfect outfit that makes you feel confident and extraordinary on your wedding day.
